You can now:

  • See when someone is booking online in real time

  • Chase up abandoned carts and save missed bookings

  • Track incomplete bookings

See online bookings in real time

Once the details of an online booking have been selected, the client has 5 minutes to make payment (or confirm if there is no deposit to pay).

During those 5 minutes, the appointment is visible in the calendar with status "pending". It appears as a faded appointment and blocks the space during which time no one else can book.

If the client does not complete payment within this time, the appointment is removed from the calendar and can be booked again.

If/when the client completes their appointment, the appointment status changes to scheduled and appears as a solid appointment.

Pending appointments

These appointments cannot be edited but they can be cancelled if you wish to free the space. Be careful of doing this as your client may be in the process of paying!

Abandoned cart notifications

When a pending appointment is removed from the calendar, you are sent an automated email informing you of the client and their details including the service they were trying to book. This is a great opportunity to reach out to them and save the booking!

There can be occasions where there is a delay in payment and so the appointment is removed despite a payment finally being received. If this happens, you are sent an email Notification so that you can manually book this appointment.

Track incomplete appointments (abandoned carts)

You can track your incomplete appointments by using the incomplete booking report. This report lives in the appointments section of the reporting app.

Please note that incomplete appointments (those that were removed from the calendar) do not feature in the appointment log report.
