Offering Klarna as a payment option is a great way to increase sales and patient loyalty.
Turn on Klarna for your Collums account
If you have not already asked Coherent (our payment partner) to switch on the Klarna payment option, you will need to do this by clicking this link.
You may need to log into your Coherent online app - use the log in details that you were given when signing up or use the forgot password option.
How to use Klarna
Once activated on your account, your patients and staff will see the Klarna options wherever the Coherent payment window appears:
For patients
When checking out online e.g. purchasing a course or gift voucher
When sent a payment link
For staff
Klarna options will be visible when using the blue Coherent payment button > Manually enter card details - DO NOT USE the option here. Your patient will need to compete the Klarna options on their own device.
Instead, use the blue Coherent payment button > Send payment link option. Your patient will receive an SMS (or email) with a link to take them to the Klarna process.
How you get paid via Klarna
Once a patient has completed the Klarna process, the invoice in Collums will be marked as paid. The clinic will receive the funds in the same was as it does for other payments taken via Coherent (online, payment links and integrated card terminals) - funds will be paid into your nominated account, usually within 48 hours.
Log into your Coherent app https://app.coherenthealthcare.com with the log in details you were given on sign up to see the status of payments.
Klarna fees
Accepting Klarna payments cost 5.99% + 20p per transaction. The fee is automatically deducted and you receive the balance in your bank account.
