Allow clients to pay invoices via their mobile phone with a payment link

You can send a payment link to a client so that they can pay securely via their mobile phone e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay etc.

You can send a payment link to pay an invoice from the POS or via the invoice pop-up:

Send a payment link from the POS

  1. Once you are happy with your invoice, click Coherent payment (or click the calculator and enter the amount if you wish to ask for a part payment) > Take payment > Send payment link.

  2. Choose the method to send the payment link - Email and/or SMS. Sending emails are free of charge, SMS cost 5p + VAT.

  3. Click "Send payment".

If you have an existing invoice and wish to send a payment link for that invoice:

  1. Open the invoice pop-up, click Options > Send payment link.

  2. Choose the amount payment you wish to ask for and choose how to send the payment link - Email and/or SMS. Emails are charged at 2p, SMS 5p + VAT.

  3. Click "Send payment"

Once a payment link has been sent, this will be stated next to the invoice name.

When the payment link has been used to make payment, the clinic will he notified by email with the name of the client, invoice number and payment value.

You must have the payment link notification turned on in Admin > Notifications to receive these.

Payment link emails & SMS are sent via Coherent's system (not Collums) and so do not show in the client card > communications tab. However, the requests are recorded in the invoice log (invoice pop-up > Options > Invoice log).

The email sent will have the subject: Payment request from {Clinic name} and look like this:

If opened on a mobile phone, clicking "tap here" open the payment window. If opened another device, scanning the QR code on a mobile will open the payment window.

Your patient will be able to select the payment method of their choice, including Klarna (if you have asked to enable this option).

Set your clinic name for emails and SMS from Coherent

  1. Go to your Coherent app https://app.coherenthealthcare.com and log in (your log in details will have been provided by Coherent when you signed up).

  2. Click Admin on the left and then update your Display Name details. You can also update your support email address.
