Before creating services, you must first create a service category for it to be allocated to. Read about how to choose the right service categories.
Create a service category
Go to Admin>Services and click "SERVICE CATEGORIES" at the top.
Click the blue plus button.
Enter the category name (this is the only required field).
Click save.
Create a service sub-category
Create a service category as per the steps above
Create another category but this time select a category from the Parent Category field.
Ensure that your desired categories are active - the switch in the "Active" column should be green. Click to activate/deactivate.
If you want to see this category on the online booking, ensure that the "Online" toggle is green.
Once you have assigned services to your service category, you can save time by completing information in the service category to be applied to all its services in one go (rather than updating each service one at a time).
Please note, any services added to a category will not automatically adopt the category rules. To do this, you should resave the category so that its rules are reapplied to all its services.
Service Category Fields:
General : Select a colour, this will appear in the calendar when booking services in this category.
Room & Equipment : Select rooms and equipment that will be used in this category.
Staff: Select which staff will be in this category.
Online Booking & Deposit: Online order number, description and name should be entered. Deposit details are globally fixed in the Admin section and should not need to be changed at this point.
Commission : Click "Allow commission" and select the commission type from the drop down box; this setting will apply to all services within this category. The sales of these services will be included in the staff commission reports.
Forms : Client details and medical history forms are pre-selected as standard in the client journey. In this section, you can choose additional forms, such as consent forms, from both the client and practitioner journeys. Pre-appointment forms can be sent in advance and completed online. If these have not already been created go to admin>settings>notifications>pre-appointment forms to create them. Finally, choose which form will appear at the end of the client journey for this category.
