Automated messages can be sent to specific segments of your client database. First, you will need to create a marketing segment.
To set up a segment for birthday messages, use the following rules:
Drop down 1 = Client
Drop down 2 = Birthday
Drop down 3 = 1
Drop down 4 = Day (or Week, Month etc.)
Drop down 5 = Future
This will create a list of clients that have a birthday tomorrow.
Next, create your email or SMS message - this is called a campaign.
Finally, set up your campaign to send as a recurring campaign every day - this will mean that each day, at your specified time, Collums will create a new list of clients with a birthday tomorrow and send them your message.
Ensure that you select "No end date" to your campaign so that they never stop sending!

Send a birthday message with a time limited offer, e.g. "book a facial in the next 2 weeks and receive 50% off." Ask the client to present the email when they check out to receive their discount.
Consider sending your message a week before their birthday so that they have to book an appointment near to the day itself.
