Collums is web-based and so needs a stable internet connection with sufficient speed and bandwidth.
If your page is not loading correctly or you have glitches / slow down, it could be your internet connection.
Internet speed
Run an internet speed test here. Do this several times in different areas where you access Collums on your devices. Repeated readings at less than 15mbps may affect your ability to use Collums smoothly. Below 10mbps will cause problems.
Internet bandwidth
Bandwidth is the capacity of your connection to transfer data. Even if you have a fast connection, having multiple devices accessing large amounts of data could affect performance. If you have general problems, ensure that fewer devices are accessing the connection, especially if they are watching or downloading video, music or other large files.
Internet connection stability
Even fast connections can drop out momentarily. If this happens in the middle of a photo / data upload or page refresh, there will be problems.
It can be difficult to know if your connection is dropping… being able to watch video smoothly does not prove that your connection is stable as most video players buffer (download the future content in advance).
Speak to your internet service provider who should be able to see if you’ve had any drop outs.
