Products must be allocated to a Product Category. This is useful when doing stock takes - you can stock take by product category or brand.
Create a product category
Click on Admin in the right hand menu.
Click the "Products" in the Organisation Resources box.
Click "CATEGORIES" in the secondary menu at the top.
Click the blue plus button next to the search bar.
Complete the required fields.
General: When creating a new category, leave the 'Parent Category' field empty.
Advanced feature: To create a sub-category, you must already have created the Category that will be its “Parent Category”. Enter the name of your sub-category and then select the Parent Category to which it will belong.
Locations: Select all the locations you wish this category to be available in.
Commission: Clicking "Allow commission" applies this setting to all the Courses within the category. This means that sales of these Courses will be included in the staff commission reports.
Click "Confirm".
Ensure that your desired product categories are active - the switch in the "Active" column should be green. Click to activate/deactivate.
