The above can be done in any order but we recommend setting up notifications and online text before switching on the gift vouchers online.
When purchased online, gift vouchers work the same as those purchased in clinic.
Set up gift voucher notifications
Go to Admin>Notifications.
Click on Gift Card Purchase - Purchaser - when switched on, this is the notification that will be sent to the person buying the gift voucher.
Remember to update any images and links e.g. the Manage booking online button or social media icons.
When using merge tags,ensure that you use only those that are in the list on the right hand side, you cannot create your own. Ideally, place the cursor in the text where you want to place the merge tag and click the tag you wish to insert.
Do the same for Gift Card Purchase - Recipient. This is the email that the recipient of the gift voucher will receive if the purchaser is buying for someone else.
Create important information and thank you text
Go to Admin>Settings>Online Booking & Deposits.
Scroll down to Booking Text Configuration and select Gift Voucher Purchase.
T&C text before completing online booking - Update the content in this text field that you would like purchasers to see just before they pay for their gift voucher. Include any import T&Cs here.
Thank you text after completing online booking - Update the content in this text field that you would like purchasers to see immediately afterthey pay for their gift voucher.
Switch on gift vouchers for purchase online
Now that notifications and important online messages have been created, you are ready to switch gift vouchers on so that they appear online ready to be purchased.
Go to Admin>Settings>Gift Vouchers.
Tick the "Sell gift vouchers online" check box and the Gift Voucher button will now appear on your online booking page.
Set the values of gift vouchers for sale
Go to Admin>Settings>Gift Vouchers.
Ensure that the "Sell gift vouchers online" check box is ticked.
Enter the values of the gift vouchers that you would like to sell.
Ensure that each value is on its own line.
The order in the list will be the order that is shown online.
Set the default expiry date for gift voucher expiry.
Click Save.
